  27. INSTALLATION
  28. ------------
  29. a) From Supplied Disk: Run SETUP on the installation floppy disk from Windows.
  30.  
  31. b) From ZIP File: UnZIP to a subdirectory such as HEBCAL. Install HEBCALW.EXE
  32. in a Windows program group. You must have VBRUN300.DLL in your Windows System
  33. subdirectory to run HEBREW CALENDAR. If you don't have this run-time library,
  34. it is probably available from the same source where you acquired HEBREW
  35. CALENDAR.

  37. If you have registered, enter your name and ID number EXACTLY as received
  38. on the Information & Registration selection on the Main Menu. SAVE A COPY OF
  39. YOUR ID NUMBER!!!!! If you lose it, contact the Calendar Maven.
  40.  
  41. INSTALLATION PROBLEMS
  42. ---------------------
  43. Setup Cannot Install Some Files - May be related to VER.DLL in your Windows
  44. System subdirectory. Rename it VER.DL_ and run Setup again.
  45.  
  46. Colors Are Wrong - May be related to THREED.VBX. If this file is in your
  47. Hebrew Calendar subdirectory, try copying it to your Windows System
  48. subdirecto
  49. ry.
  50.  
  51. COMMDLG.DLL Warning - This file is being used by another and probably
  52. non-obvious program. Enter IGNORE.
  53.  
  54. If problems persist, contact the Calendar Maven, Joseph Kohn.

  56. UPGRADING FROM PREVIOUS VERSIONS
  57. --------------------------------
  58. Starting with Version 7.0, the format of HEBCAL.CFG and CITIES.DAT was changed.
  59. Older format files will not work properly with newer versions of HEBREW
  60. CALENDAR. Also the PERSONAL.DAT file has been added. Version 7.1 HEBCAL.CFG is
  61. different from previous versions due to storage of font information.
  62.  
  63. Installation will overwrite previous versions of PERSONAL.DAT, HEBCAL.CFG and
  64. CITIES.DAT. You may want install the new version to a different subdirectory,
  65. or, consider savings copies of these files or writing down some of the
  66. information contained in them, such as geodetic coordinates.
  67.  
  68. COPYING AND DISTRIBUTION
  69. ------------------------
  70. HEBREW CALENDAR is distributed as shareware and may be copied and distributed
  71. without fee other than for nominal distribution costs. The distribution files
  72. must not be altered in anyway. You may give copies to your friends and any
  73. other interested parties.

  75. The distribution of the intact ZIP file is encouraged! Feel free to upload to
  76. your favorite BBS, online service, or Internet FTP.
  77.  
  78. If registered, you may NOT give your personal ID number to anyone.

  80. FREE EVALUATION
  81. ---------------
  82. As shareware, you can evaluate the program free of charge.  If you find HEBREW
  83. CALENDAR useful and continue to use it, you must register and pay the required
  84. fee.

  88. At present, there are no plans to charge for upgrades. New versions are
  89. regularly posted to America Online (AOL), Compuserve (CIS) and Internet.

  101. must obtain a user ID number by registering. All required information and
  102. registration assistance can be accessed from the "Information & Registration"
